Dating Coaching: Catholic Edition
You don't need someone to complete you.
But wouldn't it be beautiful to share your life with someone?
You want marriage. You want a relationship rooted in your Catholic faith, with someone you can laugh with, grow with, pray with, and build a life alongside.
That's a beautiful desire...
But you don't need a spouse to make your life meaningful or complete.
God already does that.
So instead of dating from “I need someone to make my life whole,” we can learn to date from:
“I have a life I love. I'm becoming the person God created me to be. And I'd love to share that life with someone.”
Why work with me?

I know what it's like to want marriage and wonder when your person is going to come along.
I spent fifteen years dating as a Catholic before finally meeting my husband. I went on wonderful dates, met all kinds of people, experienced relationships that taught me a lot, and had some experiences I would never want to repeat (hello ignored red flags!) even when dating "really great Catholic men" on paper.
But somewhere along the way, I realized that dating wasn't just about finding the right person - it was really about becoming the person I wanted to be and being with a person who let me be fully myself rather than look at me like a checklist (and vice versa). It was also ignoring the voices that I should settle or give up when my mid-30s started creeping in.
I had to learn to value myself, understand what I truly wanted, recognize what wasn't right for me, and stop believing that being chosen by someone else would determine my worth.
Most importantly, I learned to trust that God had a love story for me that was better than the one I was trying to write for myself.
That didn't mean sitting back and doing nothing. It meant growing, learning, dating intentionally, and becoming more comfortable with who I was—while trusting God with the outcome. I had to embrace the fact that my relationship status did not define me - and it does not define you either.
Coaching is different than therapy...however I still bring my clinical expertise to the table when working together which includes:
-
Extensive clinical training in attachment theory
-
Couples training with a foundation in Emotionally Focused Therapy
-
Training as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator
-
CBT and DBT training with practical application to help with emotional regulation in dating and relationships
-
Annulment and divorce counseling experience with clients (and know what to watch out for when selecting a marriage partner or when re-entering the dating scene)
I have counseled so many friends and clients, both men and women, on how to date well, how to show up with confidence knowing who they are, and how to have fun with the process. I have even provided lots of feedback on dating profiles and how to move from the apps to an actual date with success!
I offer a space to help you become more confident, grounded, discerning, and emotionally healthy as you navigate dating with your faith, your values, and the person you're becoming at the center with God at the helm of your love story!
My Philosophy as a Dating Coach:
Date with intention... not anxiety.
When you deeply desire marriage, dating can start to feel like a job interview.
Is this person the one? Where is this going? Did I say the wrong thing? Am I wasting my time?
Suddenly, every date feels like it has to lead somewhere.
My goal is to help you approach dating with more peace, confidence, discernment, and joy - and learn how to recognize when another other person might not be a healthy or safe option for you.
You can want marriage without making every date about finding your future spouse.
You can have standards without expecting perfection.
You can be intentional without becoming anxious.
And you can care deeply without losing yourself.
Become the person you want to bring into a marriage.
Dating isn't only about finding the right person. It's also about becoming the kind of person you want to be in a marriage.
We'll work on things like:
-
Managing dating anxiety and overthinking
-
Building confidence and emotional maturity
-
Understanding your relationship patterns
-
Communicating honestly and setting healthy boundaries
-
Discernment and recognizing genuine compatibility
-
Staying grounded when you're attracted to someone
-
Learning to handle rejection and uncertainty
-
Building a fulfilling life that doesn't depend on a relationship
These aren't just qualities you should look for in someone else; they're qualities worth developing in yourself.
Your life isn't on hold while you're single. You can find love at any age... it is not "too late".
You can hope for marriage and still love the life you're living right now.
You can pray, date intentionally, meet people, learn about yourself, have fun, and allow relationships to unfold without trying to control the outcome.
Your future spouse isn't your missing piece.
You're two whole people choosing to share a life.
So instead of asking only: “Who am I looking for?”
start asking “Who am I becoming?”
Not so someone will choose you.
But because your life is worth investing in and if God blesses you with marriage, you'll have something beautiful to share.
Date with purpose. Become who you're called to be. Enjoy the journey.
Let God write your story! Each person you meet is a gift and the interaction offers a new experience but not everyone will be "the one" - and that's okay! Life isn't exactly a rom-com but it can be fun and exciting if you lean in as you learn to trust God's timing for your unique life.
